The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is the only FDA-cleared,* non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting - so you'll look great from every angle.
The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.
Fat cells that are frozen during the CoolSculpting procedure gradually die off and leave the body through the body’s natural elimination process. That’s why the results are long-term. The fat is gone for good! Untreated areas will have no change in fat cell distribution. Learn more...

Laser hair removal works by causing permanent damage to the hair follicle as the pigmented hair beneath the skin’s surface absorbs laser energy. Candidates who experience the best results have coarse, darkly pigmented hairs on a background of lighter skin. The greater the contrast between the hair color and skin tone, the better your results will be. Regardless, laser hair removal can be safely achieved with the proper device and proper settings on individuals with all skin types.
Many patients ask why it takes multiple treatments to result in permanent hair loss using laser therapy. The reason is that at any given time, only a portion (about 20%) of the hairs within a treatment area are actively growing and thus susceptible to permanent damage. We recommend an ideal interval between each treatment as 4-12 weeks (depending on the treatment area). Learn more...
Botulinum toxin injections are the single most popular and sought after cosmetic procedure in the United States. Yet, for many patients the price, particularly here in Medford, is out of reach. Here at The Clinic for Dermatology & Wellness, we feel that beauty and confidence should not be dependent upon the size of your pocketbook. Despite a published price menu that places our services as the lowest in the Region, our Providers and Staff execute to the highest standards you would see in any major city plastic surgery boutique.
When using botulinum for cosmetic benefit, the toxin is injected in small amounts to prevent contraction of the targeted muscle, or decrease sweating in the treated area, effectively resulting in resolution of both wrinkles and undesirable sweating. Botulinum toxin injections are safe and convenient, and provide natural and reproducible results. Our Providers offer patients a professional assessment based on their goals, and take great pride in the ability to satisfy patients treatment goals without looking overtly “plastic” or “frozen”.
Botox vs. Dysport: each brand has its loyal following, our clinical experience is that patient satisfaction, clinical studies, and overall brand identity is best with Botox than any competitor on the market. We offer Botox® exclusively at The Clinic. Learn more...
REJUVAPEN is a fractional micro-needling device that works to tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin. These treatments are also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and fractional micro-needling.
REJUVAPEN is most effective at improving the appearance of:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Hyperpigmentation (from acne)
Acne Scars
Tightens, lifts and rejuvenates skin
Reduces pore size
REJUVAPEN delivers a “stamping action”, similar in concept to a tattoo needle. As the needle operates, tiny columnar wounds (i.e. microchannels) are created in the skin, thereby stimulating new tissue, collagen and elastin growth without the heat trauma or expense of a laser. As a result, patients report less pain, quicker recovery and greater efficacy.
Transepidermal Delivery (TED) with the REJUVAPEN Looking at the skin after a treatment on a microscopic level, you would see thousands of microchannels in the skin. These tiny channels act as a “pipe”, allowing enhancing topical preparations, such as growth factors and peptides, to enter deeper into the cellular level of the skin. Growth factors and peptides are the building blocks for new collagen and elastic development.
During the REJUVAPEN® treatment when these microchannels are completely open, we offer the Biopelle Tensage® SCA Technology Growth Factor serums to be delivered directly down into the cellular layer of the skin via these microchannels. Timing is of the essence, as these microchannels will close up within 60 minutes! Learn more...
The benefits of adding the Tensage Growth Factor serums are:
Firmer looking skin with renewed rejuvenation
Softens the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles
Helps skin damaged by photoaging
Faster recovery of skin appearance following REJUVAPEN procedures
Increased hydration for softer skin
Fillers are the second most popular cosmetic procedure, as they allow patients a safe and effective method of rejuvenating and accentuating facial units. Fillers can provide outstanding cosmetic results such as removing tear troughs and removing/smoothing marionette lines, yet without the expense, risk or pain of plastic surgery.
These products are increasingly popular with younger patients who prefer to intervene proactively during the early stages of wrinkle development, as well as popular alternatives to more invasive surgical procedures in older patients. Fillers improve or resolve the appearance of fine lines, deeper wrinkles and folds, hollows, volume loss, and acne scarring. Additionally, fillers can be used to enhance the fullness of the lips and for facial contouring. Our Providers and Staff have a keen eye towards highlighting and achieving a “refreshed you” without transgressing into “someone had work done” territory. Our philosophy is to “go low and slow”, preferring to undertreat and return for touch-ups as necessary to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Depending on an individual patient’s needs and goals, our Aesthetics staff may recommend a hyaluronic filler to fill in a wrinkle or a hollow; we believe this is a great agent that stimulates collagen production to provide more global volume replacement and rejuvenation.
Our list of available fillers and injectables continues to expand to better meet our individual patient’s needs. We offer Juvederm® product line, to include Juvederm Voluma, Vobella, Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC filler agents.
Our newest filler, Juvederm Voluma®, is a volumizing hyaluronic acid used in the mid face to treat volume loss. As we age, we lose the fat pad in our face, resulting in the development of hollows, wrinkles and folds. With Voluma®, your Provider can simply and conveniently replace lost volume, instantly resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
As proven by decades of use, fillers are safe, effective, and convenient and many are available to be performed at the day/time of consultation. We always ask patients to discontinue any unnecessary (not prescribed by a medical provider) blood thinners several days in advance of treatment; these include medications like Aspirin, NSAIDs, Vitamin E and Fish Oil to minimize bruising. We request all aesthetics patients requesting same day procedures to arrive at the office at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so that our Staff can apply a topical anesthetic cream to minimize any discomfort associated with the injections.
Kybella is a newly FDA-approved, non-surgical injection used to reduce moderate to severe fat on the upper neck, otherwise known as a “double chin.” The injection contains a naturally occurring molecule which dissolves fat, leaving all other cells healthy and intact.
Kybella therapy is non-invasive, resulting in minimal downtime or recovery required by the patient. Depending on each patient specific characteristics and goals, and the severity of submental fullness (“double chin”), multiple treatments may be necessary.
Patients experiencing Kybella therapy report feeling happier and younger based on their appearance, as well as less embarrassed, and less self-conscious.

Chemical peels can be used to address a variety of skin concerns, from acne to photoaging (sun damage resulting in textural changes, fine lines, wrinkles). Mild, or superficial peels are separated into two categories: beta-hydroxy acids (i.e. salicylic acid) and alpha-hydroxy peels (i.e. glycolic acid). Superficial peels result in controlled damage to the outer layers of the skin, thereby stimulating the skin’s ability and deeper layers to regenerate younger and healthier. Patients choosing superficial peels describe minimal pain and minimal downtime; however, it is important to note that superficial peels work best when “stacked” over time. A one time superficial peel does not go “deep enough” to produce the extreme results as seen with more penetrating techniques such as ablative laser revision. Medium depth chemical peels are available in specific circumstances, when and if clinically appropriate.
For patients who have been successfully treated for acne and whose symptoms have resolved, the next step is to remove the leftover signs of the disease. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (red or dark marks left from pimples), scar marks and pock marking can all be resolved with multiple therapeutic options.
Our aesthetics staff and patient care coordinator will discuss a variety of options and a customized treatment regimen that fits your skin type, budget, and therapy goals. Options range from a combination of lasers, injections, peels, prescription pharmaceuticals, recommended over-the-counter topical and neutraceutical treatments to help customize each individual patient’s approach to skin aging.
